Monte de San Pedro (A Coruña) - by Ted Oatway on Google

Description
The Monte de San Pedro is a former military coastal defence complex turned urban park atop the namesake hill in La Coruña, Galicia. There is also an observation dome (Cúpula Atlántica) housing a museum / interpretative centre and a panoramic spherical lift going up (and down) the cliffside. Trivia: the two canons are Vickers with 381mm calibre and a range of 38km (for one-ton projectiles). They fired 19 shots between 1933 and 1977 (date of their decommissioning)
Access & Transport
The park is about 3km west from the historical centre of the city. There is a parking area at the top and by the shoreline, next to the panoramic lift. Buses 3, 3A, 12 and 14 also drop visitors at the top on Rua Emilio Gonzalez López.
Instructions & Recommendations
Going by bus, you may want to use the lift to go up and then walk down (or vice versa). The Museum of Science and Technology is on the way (20mins walk)
Environmental & Social
Green attraction that somewhat improves the living environment of residents
Conclusion
A good place on the way into or out of the city if you have your own wheels. Otherwise, we feel the Torre de Hercules area is a little more special and should thus be prioritized. Probably more of a to-go spot for residents.
Key positive
Excellent panoramic views
Key negative
Panoramic lift is a little expensive
Suitability
Accessible for visitors with reduced mobility
