*** We could not find any updated info for this tour and the website is down *** Abu Dhabi Pearl Journey takes customers on a traditional pearling dhow called jalbot past the Eastern Mangroves and up to a channel between Abu Dhabi and Hudayriat Island. During the 60-90min trip, guests will be served Arabian coffee / tea and snacks and guides will explain the history of pearling industry in the Arabian Gulf and its importance to the economy of the UAE up to the 20th century. The tour reviewed here also includes an oyster opening with each customer being able to keep the pearl as souvenir.

The departure point is behind the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel, on the city's main island. By car, it is best accessed with the E10 / Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan St
