Saadiyat Beach - by Jorg Diker on Google
Description
Kai Beach Saadiyat (previously known as Saadiyat Beach) is located on the north-western shore of Saadiyat Island, a 5 mins drive north of Abu Dhabi's main island. It is now managed by Saadiyat Beach Club. This natural stretch of sand is one of the city's most attractive shores and is well equipped with guests' infrastructure.
Access & Transport
The E12 expressway provides the fastest access from Abu Dhabi city and Yas Island - there is a parking lot. Bus 120 also stops next to the entrance.
Instructions & Recommendations
Don't forget the usual protective equipment (hat/cap, "green" sunblock, sunglasses, slippers), towels and some water. This activity can easily be combined with the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum, a few minutes away, although the dress code might be quite different.
Environmental & Social
No major infrastructure required and low carbon footprint. No negative social impact either.
Conclusion
Saadiyat Beach is far less central than other options in Abu Dhabi (or even Yas Island) but with clear waters and natural sand it provides an excellent trade-off between location and quality. It is also a little less crowded than other alternatives and is in our view the best beach option without leaving the city.
