Description
The Costa da Caparica encompasses a continuous stretch of beach of 12-15km from the south of the mouth of the Tagus River until Lagoa de Albufeira. From north to south, the most popular beaches are Praia de São João, Praia do Tarquínio-Paraíso, Praia da Mata, and Praia Fonte da Telha. There are also some naturist beaches.
Access & Transport
The beaches have their own parking facilities and are linked by a small train called the Transpraia. From Lisbon, the area is just across the Ponte 25 de Abril, near the Belem district.
