Description
Anne Frank House is located along the Prinsengracht, a canal running through Amsterdam city center, in the house (and the one next door) where Anne Frank's family and another Jewish family were hiding from the Nazis during WW2. It consists of the hiding places nicknamed "the secret annex", and exhibitions about her life and all forms of persecution and discrimination. Anne Frank is well known for her diary, published in 1947 as "the Diary of a Young Girl", written whilst in hiding which lasted just over two years before the house was raided and the families were then prisoners and deported to concentration camp (only Otto Franck, the father, survived). The house escaped demolition for residential redevelopment in 1955 and the museum was opened in 1960. It is run by the Anne Frank House foundation whose mission is to share the author's life and work to raise awareness of the dangers of antisemitism, racism and discrimination.

Conclusion
The Anne Frank House should be of interest both to those familiar with the book and the author's story and those who aren't yet. It is well laid out and informative but bear in mind that this isn't a long tour of an extensive collection. The entrance price is quite high and doesn't correlate with what you'll see and learn so you will need to reframe it as a donation to an NGO with an educative mission to fight antisemitism and discrimination.
