Description
The Moco Museum Amsterdam is a modern and contemporary art museum housed in Vila Alsberg, a townhouse designed in 1904 and located in the city's museum quarter. The Moco also has a sister venue in Barcelona. The stated objective is to make art accessible to a broader and younger audience. The collection includes works by artists such as Warhol and Banksy and is complemented by temporary exhibitions.
Access & Transport
The museum is located in the city's museum quarter at Museummstraat 1. Tram lines #2 and #5 transit through Museumplein station with Van Baerlestraat (3, 5, 12) also nearby. Paid parking is available close to the museum such as the Q-Park Museumplein underground car at Van Baerlestraat 33b. Note that Vila Alsberg has stairs and no lifts and is therefore not accessible to wheelchair users beyond the ground floor.

Environmental & Social
Some environment impact to run the museum (mostly electricity). Positive from a social perspective by helping spread culture and the arts.
Conclusion
The Moco museum has some good content which of course won't thrill everybody but, considering the size of its venue and collection, it represents poor value for most visitors. If modern art is your thing or money is not a consideration then yes, it is a good place to invest 60-90mins of your time.
Key positive
Some artworks from famous contemporary artists
Key negative
Modern art collection will be hit and miss for most people
Small collection and expensive entrance fee
Suitability
Best for adults and children aged 13 and above. Stairs make the museum inaccessible for visitors with reduced mobility (besides the ground floor)
