Meta review

The village gets excellent online reviews for its well-preserved state. Many visitors start with the Palacio de Sada which has a museum-like section (with a couple of videos and some exhibits) around the life of Fernando el Católico, one of the country's most powerful Kings, who was born here. There are guided visits organized by the tourist office departing from there and these get positive comments with some noting that the slopes are rather steep. The other architectural highlight is the church of San Esteban but, besides the impressive entrance portal, the interior attracts differing opinions, especially around the quality or artistic taste of the renovation works.

Environmental & Social

The only carbon footprint is that of your car if you drive there. Any amount spent there helps the local rural economy.

Conclusion

A village worth a detour for history buffs. The medieval streets and walls are well-preserved and make for a short but very enjoyable visit. The main drawback is the remote location.
