Cuevas del Aguila - by Lady guide on Google

Description
The Cuevas del Águila is located under the hill of Romperropas in the Sierra del Águila. It is characterized by a large number of stalactites and hanging curtains of multiple shapes. The route is 1.0km long and visits are guided.
Access & Transport
The caves are in the Cerro del Águila, in the Tiétar Valley, in the south of the province of Ávila. From the town of Avila, it is an 80km drive, mostly on the N-502 (until Ramacastañas, then the AV-P-708) and from Madrid it is about 150km (depending on the route chosen).
Instructions & Recommendations
The temperature inside hovers around 16ºC so make sure to bring a sweater.
Environmental & Social
No significant environmental footprint and no community impact
Conclusion
The Cuevas del Águila are, in our opinion, nice but not exceptional. As such, they are worth discovering if you are in the area (or as part of a regional itinerary), but we would not recommend a special trip from Madrid for instance.
