Asiatique The Riverfront - by Thanyathorn Champreecha on Google

Description
Asiatique The Riverfront is an open-air complex developed in repurposed warehouses along Bangkok's Chao Phraya. There are restaurants, a night market (1500 shops and stalls selling food, clothing, etc.), a waterfront promenade, and several attractions such as Asiatique Sky, a 60m Ferris wheel, the Sirimahannop ship (museum & restaurant), a carousel, a puppet theatre, a carousel, and a Mystery Mansion.
Access & Transport
Address: 2194 Charoenkrung Road, Wat Phraya Krai, Bang Kho Laem. The complex is 5km south of the main train station, on the Chao Phraya's eastern bank. The easiest way to reach is by boat, the ferry pier is 'Wat Rat Singkhon' and there is a free shuttle leaving from Sathorn Pier every 30mins from 16h00 onward. Sathorn Pier is next to the Saphan Taksin BTS station (Silom line).
Instructions & Recommendations
At the time of this review update, the Ferris wheel ride was priced at 500 / 300 / 200 bath
Environmental & Social
Very commercial. Environmentally, quite a lot of purposely built infrastructure and attractions but the warehouses have been repurposed.
Conclusion
The rejuvenation of these warehouses into F&B venues is a great idea but we are far less convinced about the various attractions and the slightly off-centre location is a real trade-off that may not be properly compensated for, considering the high number of great food venues, including riverside ones, in the city.
Key positive
Enjoyable setting for a meal
Key negative
Expensive rides and restaurants
Takes time to get to
Suitability
The market, promenade and restaurants are accessible but most attractions probably are not
