Wat Mangkon Kamalawat - by Will on Google

Description
Wat Mangkon Kamalawat or Wat Leng Noei Yi is the largest and most important Chinese Buddhist temple in Bangkok. It was founded in the 1870s and designed in a classic Chinese architectural style with tiled roofs decorated with animal and floral motifs. In the first room you will be welcomed by the four Heavenly Kings after which there is a variety of shrines dedicated to Confucian, Taoist, and Buddhist deities. Expect incense, red and gold to dominate your senses.
Access & Transport
The temple is located in Bangkok's Chinatown, 2.5km southeast of the Grand Palace and 1km west of the main train station. The Wat Mangkon metro station (blue line) is the next block over.
Instructions & Recommendations
We suggest visiting this temple as part of an exploration of Chinatown including the Golden Buddha / Phra Sukhothai Traimit, a 10mins walk away headed towards the train station.
