Barcelona Cooking Class (Cook & Taste)

Carrer del Paradís, Barcelona, Catalunya

Description

Cook & Taste offers a range of private and small group cooking classes in a professional setting and foodie walking tours in Barcelona. The lunch cooking class also includes an optional market tour. The offer reviewed here is for an evening cooking class. The menu consists of 2 tapas, one paella as main dish and a traditional Spanish dessert followed by a dinner during which customers will eat what has been cooked with red and white wine pairing.

Access & Transport

The venue is at 3 Carrer del Paradis, close to the Barcelona Catedral. Jaume 1 metro station (L4) is just 150m away and Liceu station (L3) on Las Ramblas is 500m away. If you are in the Gothic Quarter, La Ribera or El Raval you can easily walk there.

Instructions & Recommendations

Space is limited so make sure you book in advance to ensure availability on the date that works best. Kids under 16 years pay half price but will not be served wine. This activity is best combined with a visit of the Gothic Quater and the Barcelona Catedral prior to the class. The Picasso Museum and la Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar are also close by

Meta review

The operator gets excellent reviews for this class with customers providing positive comments about the chefs, the location, the food quantity and their overall experience. The only negative comments come from people who wish the cooking was more hands-on whilst others would rather spend more time watching the chef - so it depends on personal preferences.

Environmental & Social

Cook & Taste is strongly committed and engaged to farm-to-table sustainability. This supports the local economy and has positive environmental benefits.

Conclusion

The dinner cooking class offered by Cook & Taste is the perfect opportunity to try your hand at Spanish cooking whilst interacting with the chefs and a handful of other customers (group size is kept small) and enjoying some Spanish wine. In our opinion, this is one of the better ways to discover the local culture.

Best for adults but children above 8 may also enjoy it. It is unclear if the venue and class are accessible to customers with reduced mobility, best check with the operator itself.
