Instructions & Recommendations

*** At the time of this review update, the restaurant was closed temporarily until early October 2024 *** Group size is limited so it is best to book ahead of time. Note that there is no different price for children or explicit child policy for this class, but families can check out the 2h "Funny Chefs" option on Wednesday afternoons.

Meta review

Not many reviews of the class but the hotel and restaurant get a lot of praise. It is part of the Relais & Chateaux network, designed by architect Jean Nouvel, and the restaurant has one Michelin star.

Environmental & Social

Environmentally neutral From a social perspective, we deem this activity marginally positive as it helps spread the culture of French cooking and helps the rural economy.

Conclusion

The cooking classes at Cote Cours are of high quality with price to match so we think it is best for those with either a very elastic budget or who really enjoy cooking - ideally both. Value isn't an issue in our opinion but for beginners or those looking for a simpler experience there are more central and cheaper alternatives. This can be a nice present as well and their website does cater for that.
