The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum was built in the style of a 15th-century Venetian palace notable for its outdoor courtyard and exhibits a private collection of European, Asian, and American art comprising paintings, sculptures, ceramics, furniture, and rare books. Among the artists represented are masters such as Rembrandt, Botticelli, Titan, Manet, Degas, and Raphael.

The ISG Museum is under the radar compared to some of Boston larger cultural attractions, but it provides a very different experience - more intimate in many ways, where visitors actual feel they are being invited to discover a personal collection of high quality. Recommended for those who enjoy classical art in all its forms.
