Meta review

Online reviews and travel blogs are overall very positive about the museum with most finding it not large but still very comprehensive with a varied selection of art from many periods. They enjoyed the Cezannes, Picasso, Granets, Rembrandt and the works by other European neoclassical artists, noting that they would have needed to queue up to see similar works in an international city. There are a few visitors though who found either the collections quite average or for whom there were only a few pieces that held their attention.

Environmental & Social

Minor environmental impact to run the museum (mostly electricity). It helps spread culture and the arts

Conclusion

The Granet Museum is surprisingly good for a provincial city like Aix. It is not world class by any measure, but the artwork and artefacts exhibited there should please most art enthusiasts. Considering the reasonable entry price, we would in fact advise anybody planning to explore Aix to give it a go.
