Description
The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula was built and expanded between the 11th and 16th centuries, it is named after the patron saints of the city of Bruxelles. The dominant architectural style is Gothic but there are some later Baroque and Neo-Gothic additions such as some chapels and the stained-glass windows. The main façade has 3 portals and is flanked by two 64m-high towers whilst the interior is adorned with countless wood and stone sculptures.

The cathedral is located just off Brussels Park and 600m east of the Grand Place. Metro stations Parc (1, 5) and Centrale (1, 5) are both a 2mins walk away with Brussel-Centraal train station nearby as well.

We suggest combining this activity with the Comics Art Museum (Centre Belge de la Bande Dessinée), the Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert or some time off in Brussels Park.
