House of European History - by Christine Trozowski on Google

Description
The House of European History documents recent European history and integration through various exhibits, educational programs and cultural events. It is backed by the European Parliament and housed in the upgraded former Eastman Dental Hospital, in Leopold Park, close to the European institutions. Trivia: the Nobel medal awarded to the EU in 2012 in the context of the Nobel Peace Prize is on display.
Access & Transport
The building is on the northern side of Leopold Park, 1.5km east of the city centre (Place Royale) The train station Brussel-Schuman is only 300m away and the nearest metro stops are Maelbeek and Schuman (1, 5), 500m away. Several bus lines (22, 27, 34, 38, 64, 80, 95) stop at Place du Luxembourg, right next to the European Parliament building.
Instructions & Recommendations
We suggest combining a visit there with either the Natural Sciences Museum or the Parlamentarium.
Environmental & Social
No data on the building except that it was repurposed. We assume a low carbon footprint on a per-visitor basis. Educational activity.
Conclusion
The House of European History pretty much delivers on what its name suggests and does so in a way that makes it approchable for most age levels. It doesn't not really feel like a museum though, more like a documentation centre with exhibits thrown in - which is partly understandable given the young history of Europe as a union rather than a mosaic of warring nations.
