Mini-Europe - by Management
Description
Mini-Europe is a miniature park with reproductions of over 350 landmarks in 80 European cities enlivened by moving decorative items such as train models. The reproduction is done at the 1:25 scale.
Access & Transport
The park is located on the Heysel Plateau in Laeken, 6km northwest of the historical centre of Brussels. It is easily reached by metro (6) or tram (7), stopping at Heysel station, less than 5mins walk away.
Instructions & Recommendations
We suggest combining this attraction with the Atomium and Laeken Park.
Environmental & Social
No environmental data but the carbon footprint is low. Socially neutral
Conclusion
Mini-Europe is a well-executed concept and is deservedly popular, well helped by its proximity to the Atomium. It does not feel like a Brussels-specific attraction until one remembers the EU-focused content and the role of the city in the union.
