Instructions & Recommendations

We suggest combining this activity with a walk in the Parc du Cinquantenaire and a visit of the Art & History Museum or Autoworld.

Meta review

Online reviews are very consistent: the collection is very extensive and packed with information, but it is not well curated and lacks English translation. So, it is really a case of quantity over quality, a lot of items are just bunched next to each other and there is no audio-guide to help structure the visit. Also some recurring negative comments about the entrance fees being too expensive for youth (by European museum standards).

Environmental & Social

No environmental data about the building. Small carbon footprint from use of electricity. Some educational aspects

Conclusion

The Royal Military Museum is definitely interesting but is hampered by an old-fashioned presentation style. It could really do with an extensive modernisation and maybe a trimming down of the number of items on display to make the visit more engaging and enjoyable for a wider audience.
