Description
The Genovés Park is a botanical garden located at the north-western end of the Cadiz old town, along the shoreline. There is a wide range of tree and plant species with cypresses and date palms dominating visually. There are also several sculptures and a popular lake with a waterfall called La Gruta where geese and ducks can be found.
Access & Transport
Address: Av. Dr. Gómez Ulla, 11003 Cádiz Bus #2 stops by the park along Av. Dr Gomez Ulla. Parking 'Santa Bárbara' is located at the north-eastern end of the park.
Instructions & Recommendations
This is a good place to watch the sunset. We suggest combining this activity with an exploration of the historic centre of the city and for those keen on cultural activities the Cadiz Museum is located there, only 1km away.
Environmental & Social
A green attraction. Positive for the community as green spaces makes for a better living environment
Conclusion
Nothing really spectacular here but if you are looking for a casual walk in a pleasant environment and/or a good sunset spot whilst exploring Cadiz this is probably the best place for it. Great option for residents as well, of course.
