Coptic Museum (Cairo) - by Max Melchior on Google

Description
The Coptic Museum houses the largest collection of Egyptian Christian artefacts in the world, focusing on the era between the Pharaonic and Islamic periods. Exhibits include archaeological finds, textiles, manuscripts, metalwork, and woodwork.
Access & Transport
The museum is in Coptic Cairo, in the southern part of the city. The area is served by the M1 subway line at Mar Girgis station.
Instructions & Recommendations
We recommend combining this activity with the Hanging Church next to it
Environmental & Social
Low carbon footprint. Spreads the arts and culture
Conclusion
Don't think of this museum as an alternative to the larger Pharaoh-era focused museum but rather as a repository of Coptic art and artefacts in situ. This is an increasingly "forgotten" layer of Egyptian history and culture but all the more interest to dig into it whilst you are in the neighbourhood. If museums are not your thing though, that one won't make you change your mind.
Key positive
Extensive collection of Coptic art and artefacts
Very pleasant building
Key negative
Could do with an upgrade/modernization in curation
Suitability
Not 100% certain but the museum looks to be accessible for visitors with reduced mobility
