Description
The Chicago History Museum houses the collection of the Chicago Historical Society. There are several exhibits such as 'City on Fire: Chicago 1871' about the Great Chicago Fire or 'Chicago: crossroads of America' which explores the city's development and its relationship to and influence on American history, and "Abraham Lincoln'. Highlights include the first passenger car to operate on the Chicago 'L' system in 1893 and Pioneer, the first locomotive to operate in Chicago.

Instructions & Recommendations
This museum can easily be combined with a visit of Lincoln Park, its zoo and conservatory.
Environmental & Social
No environmental data about the building. Some educational aspect + helps preserve the city's historical heritage.
Conclusion
The Chicago History Museum is a step down from the major museums of the city but is still very much worth visiting for those keen to learn more about Chicago's historical background and evolution. Pricing is a little too high in our opinion, but not a deal breaker.
