Description
The National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago has a permanent collection featuring works by Mexican artists and artifacts from Mexican history. It spans 4 periods in the country's history: pre-Cuauhtémoc, Colonial , Independence to Revolution, Post-Revolution to Present-day Mexico and also covers 'The Mexican Experience in the US'. Every October, a Día de los Muertos ("Day of the Dead") exhibit features altars and related art by Chicago-area and international artists.

The museum is located in western Chicago, at 1852 W 19th Street. The closest metro stations are '18th' and "Damen' on the Pink Line, both a 5 mins' walk away. Visitor parking is available in the Ray Castro Parking Lot located on the east side of the Museum.
