Description
The Judería de Córdoba (Jewish Quarter) is located in the historic centre of Cordoba. It was the area where Jews lived in the city between the 10th and 15th century (when they were expelled from the country following the Alhambra Decree in 1492), having their own court system and place of cult despite the governing law being the Islamic one. It is one of the most popular neighbourhoods for tourists in Cordoba. Highlights include the narrow lanes, white houses and monuments such as the Synagogue.
Access & Transport
The neighbourhood is immediately north of the Mezquita. On the western side, the closest bus stops are 'Glorieta Cruz Roja' (2, 3, 6, 12, 42) and 'Doctor Fléming' (3, 12). On the eastern side it is 'San Fernando' (1, 3, 7, 12).

Environmental & Social
Urban environment with hardly any green spaces but low carbon footprint. The flow of tourism has had a negative impact on the community but not as overwhelming in other Spanish destinations
Conclusion
A neighbourhood that is not only a delight to discover but also closely intertwined with the history of Cordoba and the relative religious tolerance of al-Andalus. Great neighbourhood for a lunch or evening meal/drinks as well
