Meta review

This part of the Greater Dublin coastline is often featured in travel magazines and listed as one of the best day-out options out of the city, in part because it caters to a broad range of taste, mixing scenic viewpoints, an enlivening seaside atmosphere, an historical touch, and inviting pubs and restaurants. The attractions that draw the most feedback online is the main street and the organized castle tours that are made engaging thanks to the involvement of local actors portraying historical characters.

Environmental & Social

The main attractions in the city have a low carbon footprint. Tourism helps preserve some of the architectural heritage and brings in economic activity

Conclusion

Dalkey makes for a refreshing half-day trip out of Dublin. Not the best seaside option in the country by a distance but it offers F&B, hiking, harbours, and historical aspects in a compact area with easy access to the capital city. Quite a good combo.
