Dublinia - by Murilo Rocha on Google
Description
Dublinia can be described as a living history museum depicting life in Dublin during the Viking and Medieval times. It is housed in the Synod Hall which is connected to Christ Church by a stone bridge. There are historical re-enactments by actors and diorama-style scenes of street & house life.
Access & Transport
The museum is located at Christ Church, the crossroads of St. Michael’s Hill, Patrick Street, and High Street, in the centre of Dublin. Several buses stop nearby and the closest tram stop is Four Courts (red line), 500m to the north across the river. The nearest car park is Q-Park Christ Church on Werburgh Street, behind Jury’s Hotel
Instructions & Recommendations
We suggest combining this activity with a visit of Christ Church Cathedral.
Environmental & Social
Some electricity consumption and housed in a repurposed building. Some educational value.
Conclusion
A museum with a difference that brings to life Medieval Dublin. Best for families but not great value considering the startling pricing.
