Jameson Whiskey Distillery Tour - by Management

Description
Jameson Distillery Bow St. is a tourist attraction operated on the site where Jameson Irish Whiskey was distilled until 1971. There are several tours such as a blending or cocktail making classes as well as the "Bow St. Experience" that consists in a 45mins guided tour of the distillery, a comparative whiskey tasting, and also includes a Jameson drink at JJ's Bar.
Access & Transport
The distillery is slightly west of Dublin city centre (walking distance), 300m north of Liffey River and 200m from the Smithfield (red line) tram stop. The nearest car park is on Queens Street/Smithfield Square.
Instructions & Recommendations
The Bow St. Experience is available for children under 18yrs old, the whiskey drink at the bar will be replaced by a soft drink.
Environmental & Social
Some electricity consumption and negative aspects around spirit consumption
Conclusion
Not one for whiskey connoisseurs in our opinion but if you are not going to be travelling outside Dublin and Irish whiskey production is of interest then this is definitely worth considering. A little short and quite expensive but, overall, well executed.
Key positive
Engaging guides and fun deco
Insights into whiskey production
Key negative
Very commercial and expensive
Suitability
Best for adults. Wheelchair accessible
