Description
The National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin covers 19ha and holds over 20,000 living plants from a variety of habitats from all around the world as well as millions of dried plants specimens. Some of those habitats are recreated in impressive and historical greenhouses, the most famous of which are the Great Palm House and the Curvilinear Range. There are also several artistic features scattered around the gardens such as The Sundial and a statue of Socrates.

Instructions & Recommendations
This attraction is not at its best in winter. The adjacent Glasnevin Cemetery is also worth a visit.

Conclusion
Dublin's Botanical Gardens may not be one of the city's touristic highlights but they are worth travelling 25mins for if you have time to spare or generally enjoy this type of attraction.
