Brunelleschi's Dome - by Management
Description
Brunelleschi's dome tops the Cathedral of Florence and was, at the time it was built in the early 15th century, the largest dome in the world with an internal diameter of 45m (and exterior diameter of 55m). The interior is decorated by frescoes on the theme of the Last Judgment. Independent operators and the Management of the Duomo complex offers various tours of the dome; those typically also provide access to the other monuments in the complex. The tours are either led by a guide or use an audio-guide and last 30-45mins, they include access to the dome with a climb of the 463 steps up to the roof.
