La Bambouseraie en Cévennes - by Paul de Beaumont on Google

Description
La Bambouseraie en Cévennes is a garden complex of 34ha (about half of which can be visited) comprising a bamboo forest and a bambousarium (showcasing many varieties), a Japanese Zen garden, a pond, a labyrinth, a Laotian village (built by a Laotian member of staff and his team) and some greenhouses. Trivia: bamboo is a plant, the largest member of the grass family.
Access & Transport
The garden is just south of the village of Générargues, in the Gard department, 12km southwest of Alès and 50km northwest of Nîmes. There is a free onsite parking. Accessibility info: https://bambouseraie.fr/en_GB/accessibilite-pour-tous
Instructions & Recommendations
We suggest combining this attraction with a visit of the town of Alès with its fort and cathedral.
Environmental & Social
Green activity, reinforced by some positive environmental / sustainability practice such as organic methods and recycling + the site is labelled as a bird refuge.
Conclusion
A well-executed garden complex with an unusual theme for the region. Perhaps not a major tourist attraction but certainly a good outdoor option on a hot summer day and, of course, botany enthusiasts should very much enjoy the place.
