The museum is located in East Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon next to the Museum of History. It can be accessed with a 10 mins walk from Hung Hom (West Rail and East Rail lines) and Jordan (Tsuen Wan line) MTR stations or a short walk for those already in the Tsim Sha Tsui area.
Instructions & Recommendations
The museum can be combined with a visit to the Avenue of Stars, a harbour cruise, walking around the Mongkok or Temple street. In addition, the Museum of History is next door.
Environmental & Social
Most of the building's energy consumption is likely to be for air-conditioning (or heating during the short winter). Not a major carbon footprint on a per visitor basis though. Educational aspects
Conclusion
The Hong Kong Science Museum is a good option for those with kids or with a couple of spare hours in the Tsim Sha Tsui area. A good filler activity but not an activty to anchor your day around. In our opinion, the museum is more geared towards residents.
