Marché du Lez, Montpellier - by M M on Google

Description
The Marché du Lez in Montpellier mixes restaurants, bars and cafes, stores, foodtrucks and a flea market (about 20 stalls) all sprinkled with street art. Visitors can enjoy outdoor public spaces and a rooftop terrace for a meal, a drink and the occasional events (mostly musical).
Access & Transport
The development is located 4km southwest of the city centre. The closest tram stop are 'Pablo Picasso' (3) 500m away and 'Port Marianne' (1,3), 1.1km away. By car, take exit 29 or 30 on the A709. There are three car parks nearby, the closest one is paying and the other ones free.
Instructions & Recommendations
At the time of this review, the timing for the flea market was Tue-Sun from 10h00 to 19h00 and that for the restaurants is every day from 12h00-14h30 for lunch and 20h00-23h30 for dinner. Street food stalls/trucks are also open every day. Adults may want to combine this attraction with a visit of the nearby Château de Flaugergues and families can look into the aquarium of Planet Ocean World.
Environmental & Social
No environmental or sourcing data so we deem this to be marginally negative (structures and electricity). Socially neutral
Conclusion
An enjoyable casual venue best experienced with a group of friends but not quite a tourist attraction. Probably better recommended for residents of the greater Montpellier.
Key positive
Variety of F&B and store options
Cool outdoor spots & atmosphere
Key negative
Not always the best value food and drinks
Disappointing flea market section
Suitability
Accessible to visitors with reduced mobility and suitable for all ages (but best for teenagers & adults)
