Kościuszko Mound - by Michelle Bamber on Google

Description
Kościuszko Mound (kopiec Kościuszki) is a memorial to Tadeusz Kościuszko, a Polish national hero who fought in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth's wars against Russia and Prussia in the 1790s (and during the American Revolutionary War before that). The artificial mound was erected in 1820-23, it is 35m high with a diameter of 73m and a path leading to the top. The complex also includes a brick fort, a church, and a museum exhibiting artefacts and memorabilia relating to Kościuszko's life and achievements.
Access & Transport
The mound is located 4km west of Krakow Old Town. Buses 100 (from Salwator) and 101 (from Mound of Centrum Kongresowe ICE) go there. Salwator is the terminus station for tram #1 and #2, it is 1.6km away from the mound complex.
