AquaPark Biscarosse

18 Chemin de Maguide, Biscarrosse, Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Description

The AquaPark Biscarrosse is one of the largest inflatable-structures waterparks in the world. It is located on the southwest side of the Cazaux-Sanguinet lake, 4km from Biscarosse Plage (the beach of Biscarosse). Besides the standard per hour price visitors can try the Catapult and Waterjump for 5€ per instance.

Access & Transport

Port Maguide is in the southwest of the Cazaux-Sanguinet lake. It can be reached from the northern side and Arcachon / Dune du Pilat on the D218 (between the lake and the ocean) or from the southeast using the A63 expressway until exit 17 at Liposthey and then driving through Parentis and Biscarosse.

Instructions & Recommendations

Minimum age is 8-year-old and anybody under 10 should be accompanied by an adult Please check the opening days and hours and weather forecast before heading there. During the French school holidays, we strongly advise visitors to arrive early - the parking fills up quickly.

Meta review

Excellent reviews for this activity; customers have great fun and those taking the 2h option finish exhausted. The main complaints relate to the long queues after 11h00 and the inability to enforce any type of physical distancing. Many comments about pricing being reasonable and the structures being slippery so one should expect to fall and be knocked about quite often.

Environmental & Social

Green activity. Socially neutral

Conclusion

The AquaPark Biscarosse is a water-based recreational activity that can provide thrills for all ages (noting the age restrictions). The surface area here is extensive with plenty enough to fill a 2h slot. It is best enjoyed as a group or a family. We think it is a great one-off option because it doesn't require mastering any specific skill to be enjoyed (unlike other sports or water activities).

Key positive

A lot of fun for adults and children alike

A wide range of structures

Key negative

Not possible to enforce physical distancing

There can be queues during the peak season

Suitability

For adults and kids aged 8 and above - below that age there are only a few early morning sessions each week. This activity is not accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.
