Seignosse Atlantic Park

2 Avenue de la Grande Plage, Seignosse, Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Description

The Seignosse Atlantic water amusement park has 12 slides and several swimming pools with different depths and features, including an area for younger children. It is located next to the beach of Seignosse in the Landes department in the Southwest of France.

Access & Transport

The address is 2 avenue de la grande plage - 40510 Seignosse. From the north / Bordeaux, take the A63 and exit 10 towards Soustons followed by the D652 towards Vieux Boucau but turn left on the D79 after 5kms. From the south / Bayonne, take the D810 until Labenne and then the D652 to Capbreton and continue on until Seignosse.

Instructions & Recommendations

Note that kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult when entering the parc and kids under 8 must remain with an adult at all times. The ticket doesn't allow any exit and re-entry. We suggest combining this activity with some time at the beach of Seignosse, right next to the parc.

Meta review

Reviews are overall positive: parents state that their children had great fun even though the parc is not very large and they praise the cleanliness of the facilities and the grass areas. The main complaints relate to the staff not always being friendly, or looking distracted, and to the entry price.

Environmental & Social

The Park requires some energy and water to run but no data is available on these aspects. Neutral from a social perspective.

Conclusion

The water park is a great option for families, with a range of height/age-suited slides and several pools. Location by the beach means it is easy to make a full day out of the park/beach combo but we would hesitate to recommend it as an activity for which to drive more than 1h. The main downside is probably price but part of the reason is that it is only fully operational for 2 months per year.

Key positive

Family friendly

Good location next to the beach

Key negative

A little expensive considering the size

Suitability

Suitable for all ages but practically only kids above 120cm will really take advantage of the slides (red and black colours) and children under 12 need to be accompanied to enter the parc. Not accessible for visitors with reduced mobility
