Description
Beverly Hills is a city in the Greater Los Angeles agglomeration, directly to the southwest of West Hollywood. It is famous for being the home of celebrities, luxury hotels (such as the Beverly Hills Hotel) and the Rodeo Drive shopping district. Other landmarks include the Beverly Gardens Park, the Will Rogers Memorial Park and the City Hall. Rodeo Drive is a ~3km (2 miles) street between Sunset Boulevard (north) and Beverwil Drive (south) but is generally used to refer to the stretch between Wilshire Boulevard and Little Santa Monica Boulevard. It is known for its high-end designer shops.
Access & Transport
The Main access road is Santa Monica Blvd (CA-2). No metro stations but several bus stops along Wilshire Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd.
Instructions & Recommendations
Most fashion and jewellery stores open from 10h to 18h (12h to 17h on Sundays).
Environmental & Social
Urban environment with hardly any green spaces. Socially neutral
Conclusion
An area worth visiting for shoppers and urban explorers. For tourists whose primary objective is to see the main sights and museums, we would only recommend spending some time there if you have at least 3 days in the city - it is not really a "destination neighbourhood".
