Description
The Lyon Botanical Garden is located within the Parc de la Tête d'Or, Lyon's largest inner-city park. It houses about 16,000 species over 8ha and 6000m2 of greenhouses. There is, for instance, a greenhouse-aquarium with Amazonian water lilies, a Dutch greenhouse containing carnivorous plants, and a greenhouse with vegetation from Madagascar. The Botanical Garden itself is complemented by an Alpine Garden with 1700 mountain species and three Rose Gardens within the Park.
Access & Transport
The Botanical Garden is situated at the southern end of the park, in the 6th arrondissement. It is best accessed from Massena metro station (A), about 500m from the southern entrance, or by bus along Av. Verguin (27) or Boulevard des Belges / Rue Duquesnes (C1, C6, 27, 38).

This activity is best combined with the Parc de la Tête d'Or and the Lyon Zoo (also located within the park)
