Aqualand Torremolinos

10 Calle Cuba, Torremolinos, Andalucía

Description

Aqualand Torremolinos is a water amusement park located to the south of the city of Málaga, on Spain's Costa del Sol. It has a range of adrenaline inducing rides, pools and water play areas for children. Highlights include the following rides: Boomerang, Speed racer, Twister and Kamikaze.

Access & Transport

Address: C. Cuba, 10, 29620 Torremolinos, Málaga, Spain The park is just off the N-340a in Torremolinos, 15km southwest of Malaga and 7km south of the Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport. Onsite parking is available The closest train station is Torremolinos La Nogalera, about 2km away (possible to walk)

Instructions & Recommendations

Online tickets must be bought at least one day before and not all attractions may be available on the day of your visit. Do not forget to bring your swimming attire, some sunblock, hat/cap and sunglasses.

Meta review

The attraction is coming under a lot of attack on online portals and also has their own 5* reviews to counter... What transpires though is that whilst some of the rides are fun and kids will certainly enjoy it, it is expensive for what it is (likewise for the lockers and the food sold there) and maintenance also neds to be stepped up. Another grief from customers is the VIP ticket system that is really impacting queues for non-VIP ticket holders.

Environmental & Social

We could not find any Environmental & Social data from the Aspro Ocio group. Our view is that water parks are a bit wasteful (water, plastic, food) but do provide some local employment opportunities.

Conclusion

The water park is a great option for families, with a mix of adrenaline inducing rides and a lot of kid-friendly options. However, profits should not come to the detriment of customers' experience and, from what we gather, the long wait between rides and number of closed ones makes this attraction overpriced and hard to recommend until the issues are addressed.

Key positive

Some adrenaline inducing rides

Outdoor water-based amusement park suits the Costa del Sol weather

Key negative

Quite a budget, especially for a family

There can be long queues for some rides

According to reviews, many slides tend to be closed

Suitability

Best suited for families. Not recommended for people with mobility issues as they would not be able to enjoy the slides
