Playa de la Malagueta is the closest beach from the central district of Malaga, in Andalusia. It is located between the port and the beach of La Caleta, stretching about 1.2km with a depth of around 40-50m of dark sand. It has a 'blue flag' rating with comprehensive amenities.
Access & Transport
The beach is immediately south of Av. de Canovas del Castillo / Paseo Maritimo Pablo Ruiz Picasso. The closest bus stops are on Paseo de la Farola (western side) and Paseo Reding (central). There are some car parks near la Farola lighthouse (eastern end) and within the Malagueta neighbourhood.

The beach and the sun can be strong here so don't forget the usual protective equipment (hat/cap, "green" sunblock, sunglasses, slippers) and some water.
