Description

Mondragón Natural Park spreads over 725ha in the southeast of Mallorca. It is varied in its topology, including cliffs and coves, pine and scrub vegetation, as well as cultivated areas. It is also estimated to contain 70 species of birds, many of them migratory, such as hoopoes, blackbirds and goldfinches. Activities there include hiking and beaches.

Access & Transport

The park is 2km southwest of Portopetro, 10km from Santanyí and 60km east of Palma. Bus 521 goes there from Portopetro.

Reviews for the natural park are excellent though the beaches do get packed in July & August. Online comments highlight the beautiful coastal views, the beach and coves with turquoise waters, and the few hiking paths through the woods. Parking is easy enough outside of the peak season.
