Description
Point Reyes National Seashore is a 287km2 preserve along Marin County's western coastline. It forms a peninsula geologically separated from the continental US by a rift zone of the San Andreas Fault. Natural features include headlands, wild coastal beaches and uplands. Landmarks include the Point Reyes Lighthouse, the Cypress Tree Tunnel, the Historic KPH Maritime Radio Receiving Station, the Chimney Rock and other various trails.
