Müritz is Germany's second largest lake (117km2) and is part of a Mecklenburg Lake District which is fed and drained by the Elde river. It is known as both an important bird breeding site and touristic destination with quaint villages and channel-like inlets on its western side. The main settlements around it are the towns of Waren (Müritz) at the northern end and Röbel on the western shore (23km between both). Highlights / activities include bird watching, lake cruises, and in Waren the Müritzeum aquarium, the churches of St George's and St Mary's, and the Old Market square.

Environmental & Social
We deem this activity environmentally neutral and marginally positive as it brings some economic activity to the rural communities
Conclusion
Müritz lake and national park has some of the most visit-worthy landscapes in Northern Germany which mostly shines for its coastline. It deserves an overnight stay for proper exploration but also works well as a stop in between Berlin / Brandenburg region and other attractions in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
