Description
Macarelleta cove is, along its sister Macarella Cove, one of Menorca's most popular beaches. The turquoise water and sandy beaches are flanked by high cliffs and surrounded by pine trees.
Access & Transport
Macarelleta is accessed through a narrow coastal path via Cala Macarella. From Ciutadella, bus 69 drops visitors near Cala Macarella, but for those coming from Mahon it is best to head to Cala Galdana (bus 51 or 52)and take a longer walk to Cala Macarella then Cala Macarelleta.
Instructions & Recommendations
Make sure to bring sun protective equipment during the summer and some water.
Environmental & Social
No carbon footprint. Brings some economic activity to the surrounding villages
Conclusion
Possibly the best-looking beach in Menorca with its limpid turquoise waters and beautifully framed by pine trees and small cliffs but you won' be alone in the summer. Best to go out of season or in the mornings during the peak season.

Crowded

Not accessible for visitors with reduced mobility and possibly a little risky to bring very young children due to the narrow path along the cliffs
