Cimitero Monumentale, Milan - by Tarza barznji on Google
Description
The Cimitero Monumentale in Milan is well-known for the abundance of artistic tombs and monuments. It was designed with that in mind by architect Carlo Maciachini in the mid-19th century with a grand entrance through the massive Famedio, a Hall of Fame in Neo-medieval style. It contains classical Italian sculpture (including a scaled-down version of the Trajan's Column), Greek temples, and obelisks.
