Description
The Pinacoteca di Brera (Brera Art Gallery) is an ancient and modern art gallery housed in the 17th century Brera Palace located in the centre of Milan. Its collection strength is in Venetian (Giovanni Bellini, Veronese), and Lombard paintings but it also contains Gothic, Renaissance, Medieval and Neoclassical paintings and some frescoes. There is a small section for 19th century and contemporary art as well as drawings and graphics.
Access & Transport
The Museum is accessible to people with reduced mobility: the entrance with lift is located via Fiori Oscuri 2 (Reception Pinacoteca).

Environmental & Social
We could find no information around environmental sustainability, but museums require electricity for lighting and heating/cooling. Positive from a social perspective by helping spread culture and the arts.
Conclusion
Milan's foremost gallery for Italian paintings with a lot of high-quality artworks. The only real drawback in our opinion is the over concentration of religious art; bear that in mind before heading there.
Key positive
High quality and extensive collections
Beautiful building and centrally located
Key negative
Very focused on religious art
Suitability
Suitable for all ages even though younger kids may get bored quickly. No access problem for visitors with mobility issues (lift to floor)
