Description
La Glorieta de España (or Glorieta de Murcia) is a pedestrian square in the center of the city surrounded by the neo-classical City Hall, the 18th century Episcopal Palace and the Segura River. It is landscaped with flowers, palm trees and water fountains to which have been added, over time, various statues and artistic monuments.
Access & Transport
The square is just south of the Cathedral (it communicates with the Plaza de Belluga through Calle del Arenal). There are buses stopping on both paseo del Teniente Flomesta (southern edge) and on Gran Via. It is a 15mins walk (1.2km) to the train station. Murcia is 230km south of Valencia, 85km from Alicante and 150km southeast of Albacete.

The Glorieta is a very pleasant architectural ensemble that deserve a quick visit, possibly seating down for a drink and appreciating the play of water, gardens and historical buildings.
