Meta review

The museum gets positive reviews from those keen on the arts. Visitors enjoy the Renaissance building with is imposing stairs and high ceilings as well as the upper floor section dedicated to the paintings depicting the Cote d'Azur and its hinterland. Based on comments, there seems to be a decent amount of information translated into English and the garden isn't well kept.

Environmental & Social

Minor environmental impact to run the museum (mostly electricity). Helps spread the arts and preserve some of the region's artistic heritage

Conclusion

The Musée des Beaux-Arts of Nice is one of several visit-worthy museums in the city and should be included in the itinerary of anyone keen on cultural activities who has 3 days or more in the town. It holds quite a large collection of paintings from regional artists as well as a few random artwork from famous artists.
