Batignolles organic - by nicolas selles on Google
Description
The Batignolles Bio Market is a direct farmer/producer to customer all-organic market held every Saturday in Paris. Besides the usual fruits, vegetables and cheese, the following products can also be found: flowers, olive oil soap and jams.
Access & Transport
The market is located along Bd des Batignolles, between Place de Clichy (2, 13) and Rome (2) métro stations. There are also several bus stops in the area.
Instructions & Recommendations
Take note that the market is held only once a week - on Saturdays. If you cannot make that day you can go to the Batignolles covered market (every morning except Mondays - 96 bis rue Lemercier, 1km further north). From there it is a short walk to the Montmartre neighbourhood past Place de Clichy and up rue Caulaincourt.
Environmental & Social
Organic products give this activity an excellent environmental pedigree and the small producers aspect is a clear positive from a social perspective.
Conclusion
The market is nice to browse and you will find quality products, directly from the producers. Highly recommended if organic food and drinks are a must for you or if you happen to be in the area on a Saturday.
