Description
Galleria Alberto Sordi is a large shopping arcade in the centre of Rome. It was designed and built in the early 20th century in Art Nouveau style. Originally called Galleria Colonna, it was renamed in 2003 after the Roman actor Alberto Sordi who had started his career in a theatre inside the building. It is located along Via del Corso a short walk from the capital's other main shopping street, Via Condotti.
Access & Transport
Address: 33 Via del Corso Bus stops "L.Go Chigi" and "Corso/L.Go Chigi" are next to the arcade.
Instructions & Recommendations
We suggest combining this activity with a visit of the nearby Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Doria Pamphili Gallery, or Via dei Condotti & Spanish Steps.
Environmental & Social
No environmental data available. We deem this attraction marginally negative in that respect (electricity consumption mostly). Socially neutral
Conclusion
The Galleria is worth a quick look for its Art Nouveau style when strolling or shopping on Via del Corso. However, it isn't very large, so it isn't exactly a shopping "destination".
