Meta review

Probably the best-known attraction in San Diego but far from getting universal praise online. Visitors agree to say that the orca and sea lions shows are exceptional and whilst one of the water rides also get the thumbs up, everything else is not up to the price being charged with disappointing rides and dolphin show. Recurring comments about long queues at the restaurant (so do not purchase the F&B ticket combo), food being overpriced, and staff not being well trained and not always friendly.

Environmental & Social

Good record with an impressive number of marine animal rescues (https://seaworld.com/san-diego/commitment/animal-rescue-rehabilitation/) and involvement in conservation activities + end of orca breeding program Rides are energy intensive though, so some carbon footprint.

Conclusion

It is really only worth going for the orca and sea lions shows with some of the rides also fun but nothing very original. Stay away from all the 'upgrades' to get the best value. The PE ownership shows...
