Description
Segovia Cathedral was built in the mid-16th century in Flamboyant Gothic style. It is designed with a tall bell tower (almost 90m), a spacious vault (50m wide, 33m high, 105m long) with three naves, and an ambulatory flanked by 7 chapels. Besides the roofline, highlights include the chorus and the main chapel.
Access & Transport
The monument is located in the upper, older part of town, 600m from the aqueduct and 2km from the train station. Bus line 10 stops next to it on Plaza Mayor. The town of Segovia is 85km northwest of Madrid to which it is linked by high-speed train in 30mins. The same train line links Segovia to Valladolid in 35mins.
